Grandma Bette

Right now I’m currently working on image digitalization of all of my grandmother’s photo albums.  She passed away in 2014 and now I’m trying to preserve her memory as much as I can.  I’ve scanned over 900 pictures and now I’m in the process of cropping, color correcting and renaming each picture.  One of the oldest photos she had was from 1910 of my grandfather’s father.

I’m getting to the good part of the albums; you know the part where I start to appear.

I don’t have very many early memories of my grandmother; but she was an amazing quilter, seamstress, crocheter, knitter and cross stitcher.  If it had anything to do with fabric, yarn or thread she could make it and make it look first-rate.  She even stitched her quilts by hand. One Christmas while I was in elementary school, she gave me dolls with crocheted outfits for me to play with.  She did this for every granddaughter she had.  One doll had a wedding dress and it even came with a male doll dressed in a tuxedo.  Another doll was dressed up in a hula skirt and a bikini top.  Some even had hats to match their dresses.
